OTHER RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
Care work Live in care work in the UK (2004-2005). Experience gained caring for elderly people with dementia, cancer, epilepsy, mental retardation, and a bedridden dying patient. As well as the practical aspects of the work such as manual handling and personal care, I gained a valuable insight into meeting the personal needs is people with ill health.
WELFARE WORK
Many years of employment in the welfare industry working one to one with disadvantaged people from many walks in life and different socioeconomic groups. Valuable skills, attributes and experience include: quick assessment and decision making skills, interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, patience and respect. These can all be transferred to the radiographic examination and the hospital work environment.
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
After a stable employment history of 20 years with the same employer, I held various positions for shorter periods of time while travelling. After this I studied for the period 2007 to 2011 to qualify as a Medical Radiation Technologist.
